Thank you so much for all your support during this Christmas season! We’re always amazed and humbled by the help that we receive, and this year was no different. We’re so blessed! Here are the activities that we have been a part of these last two months.

Our Monday night Bible study with street vendors, alcoholics, poor and homeless is called Faith in Action. It’s been a great time of prayer and spiritual growth all year long, and our final Christmas party had over 200 in attendance. It was a great night of celebrating God’s goodness together! I ask that you pray for us and all the staff of this ministry as we plan and prepare for this new year and for the direction to lead this wonderful group.

Los Gozosos is a wonderful orphanage that is dedicated to caring for children with special needs. Their staff works incredibly hard to raise these children to reach their potential and to love them with God’s love. It’s an honor to work with them as part of their board of directors. Thanks to the support that we received, we were able to help them with 3 turkeys for their Christmas dinner, and a bunch of presents for the children. Thank you!
December was a very hard month for the home. Julian, aged 14, came to the home on the 11th, and one week later his heart stopped suddenly after eating lunch. It’s been very hard on the staff who take in these precious disabled children, and they love them and care for them as best as they can. Please be praying for Maureen and all the staff who work long hours and are very sad for the loss. And if you want to support the home, please visit their website here: www.losgozosos.com

Visiting Casa Shalom is always a highlight for our family. Yuliza & I met there, and it’s where most of our kids have grown up. So it’s a joy to visit and love on the kids! We gathered a bunch of families from our church and community in order to go and “babysit” the children and to give the wonderful staff of the home a morning off so they can have their own Christmas party together. Then we had a big meal together and a soccer tournament in the afternoon.
Our Family

In December Yuliza and I celebrated 15 years of full-time ministry in Guatemala. It’s amazing to think back to when we drove our car down from Austin, and to remember all that’s happened in our home since then. And we’re so humbled by all the constant help, support and prayers that has made it possible!

Our new girls have been adjusting well to our family after arriving in October. Margaret celebrated her 13th birthday in November. Sharon graduated from high school. And Bella is now so excited about starting first grade in two weeks that she’s counting the days.

As we plan for 2026, we have Nohemí in 7th grade, Ana in 8th grade, Katy & Geovany in 12th grade, and Jeremías who is starting to work after graduating. Sharon is visiting her mother and deciding what to do in the future, but we hope that she returns to our home. And Karla is also in a time of prayer about what to do this year between college, work & family. But we still have more room if God wants us to bring in more kids to our family!

Thank you so much for your continuous prayer and support!
Brent, Yuliza, Margaret & Isabella
